How does booking work if I don't pay online?

You pick a room and dates on this site and send a request. We check it personally and confirm by email or WhatsApp, usually within a few hours and always within 24. Your dates are held while the request is pending, and you pay at the property when you arrive — cash or card.

Can I cancel or change my dates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While a request is pending it can be withdrawn at no cost. Once confirmed, message us on WhatsApp as early as you can and we will move or release the dates — we are a small house and we would rather re-let a room than charge for it. No-shows without notice may be released.

Is breakfast included?

Accepted Answer

A continental breakfast is included with every room — bread, eggs, fruit, tea and coffee — served when you are actually awake rather than at a fixed hour.

Do you take children? Extra beds?

Families are welcome. Rooms are set up for two adults; tell us in the request if a small child is coming and we will arrange what is needed. The pool is not lifeguarded, so children should be supervised there.

What is actually in the kitchenette?

A hob, a kettle, a fridge, basic utensils, plates and cutlery, and a dining table to eat at. It is meant for breakfasts, chai, reheating and simple cooking — enough for a long stay to feel like living here, not for a full feast.

What is the difference between the two room types?

They are the same suite inside — kitchenette, dining corner, wardrobe, sofa, AC, ensuite bathroom. The Premium Room with Balcony adds a private balcony facing the green hills of Canacona. If you live on morning light, take the balcony.

Is the pool private? Is it heated?

Accepted Answer

The pool belongs to the house and is only used by our guests. It is stone-clad and partly covered, so it stays pleasant through the day; it is not heated, which in Goa is rarely a problem. In season we light it for evening swims.

Is there Wi-Fi? Can I work from the room?

Accepted Answer

Yes — fast Wi-Fi throughout, and every suite has a table. Many guests work mornings and swim afternoons. Power cuts happen in Goa; the house has backup for essentials.

Which airport should I fly into?

Accepted Answer

Dabolim (GOI) is closer at about 67 km, roughly 1 hour 45 minutes by taxi. The newer Mopa airport (GOX) in the north is about 100 km and closer to 2 hours 30 minutes. We can arrange a pickup from either — just tell us your flight on WhatsApp.

Can I come by train?

Yes. Canacona station is about ten minutes away and is served by Konkan Railway trains from Mumbai, Mangalore and Kerala. Margao (Madgaon) is the larger junction, 34 km north, with more connections. Taxis and autos wait at both.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in from 12:00 until 23:00; check-out by 11:00. If you are arriving late or on an early flight, tell us the time and we will sort it out.

How far is the beach, honestly?

About a kilometre — twelve minutes downhill on foot. Coming back up in the afternoon heat is the only complaint we hear; an auto-rickshaw from the beach road is about ₹100.

When is the best time to visit Palolem?

Accepted Answer

November to March is the season: dry, warm, the beach shacks open, the sea calm. October and April are quieter and hotter. The monsoon runs June to September — green and dramatic, but the beach restaurants close and swimming is unsafe.

Do I need a scooter?

Accepted Answer

Not for the beach, but yes if you want Patnem, Agonda or the fort on your own schedule. Scooters rent by the day in Palolem for a few hundred rupees; we can also arrange a driver for longer days out.
